Full Creative Strategy
When our partners at e=mc² events called to team up for the Canadian Events Awards, our team was tasked with weaving an evening of entertainment seamlessly throughout the award ceremony. This was no ordinary brief. Multiple entertainment companies were sponsoring, donating both time and talent. Usually, the fuze team would conceive a singular vision, handpick the acts, craft the story, and control the flow. This time, the creative challenge was to honour each sponsor’s work while still producing a cohesive, high-impact show.
With limited time and a roster of sponsored entertainment, we stepped into full creative fusion mode, combining pieces from Idea Hunter, Cirque Revolution, and more into a single, unforgettable evening.
The Experience
From the first dramatic opening to the high-energy post-party, the goal was simple: keep the audience engaged, surprised, and ready for more. Transition pieces acted as “tops and tails” to tie the evening together, while backstage communications kept every performer, presenter, and technical cue in perfect sync.
The fuze crew was on comms all night, wrangling talent, cueing entrances and exits, and ensuring every sponsor’s contribution shone under the lights. Even with a tight schedule, the flow was smooth, intentional, and brimming with energy.
Designed to Draw a Crowd
The night balanced artistry and respect. Each act’s vision was preserved, while fuze enhanced their impact through staging, lighting, LED walls, and precision timing. Every transition was a chance to re-engage the crowd, wipe the slate clean, and keep momentum high.
Sponsor recognition and hosting moments were woven into the entertainment, creating natural peaks in the program while giving the audience space to celebrate award winners.
Live, Layered, and Unforgettable
The standout opener set the tone, with surprise elements sparking instant audience engagement. A showstopping finale brought everything to a crescendo; Reve’s performance swelled into an extended outro, dancers spilled into the audience, a beatboxer layered in over the music, and the DJ rose up to take the energy even higher. The room leapt to its feet, dancing and celebrating as the night flowed straight into the post-party.
A Custom Creation
This was entertainment as collaboration, a patchwork of talent stitched together with creative vision and technical mastery. Each sponsor’s unique artistry was amplified, honoured, and showcased with precision, proving that even a show built from many different pieces can feel like one united experience.
Results That Speak for Themselves
The CSE Awards crowd stayed captivated from start to finish, with the energy peaking exactly where it mattered. Sponsors felt celebrated, performers looked their best, and the audience left talking about “that finale” — the kind of memory that lingers long after the lights go down.
WHAT MAkES IT Amazing?
Working with different teams, sponsors, and partners to coordinate entertainment acts that kept the room engaged for the entire 3 hour production was no small feat. Our team was so proud of their work on this project.
