A setup this big called for an equally impressive entertainment lineup.

The evening brought together an incredible mix of performers, including mermaids, stilt walkers, pole climbers, aerialists, Russian bar performers, fire poi, live painters, and sailor-themed cirque acts. With performances happening across the venue throughout the evening, the sea-inspired concept went far beyond a single stage.

Each act added something different to the lineup. From high-flying aerial performances and circus artistry to fire, live painting, and roaming characters, the variety of entertainment helped bring the theme to life on a much larger scale.

The Main Event

The main stage was home to some of the evening’s biggest moments, including a performance by Great Big Sea. With more than 60 artists involved throughout the event, A Ship in Full Sail brought together music, circus, visual art, and specialty entertainment for one major celebration.

Taking the Show on the Road

The concept didn’t stay in one place. The client loved the event so much that smaller versions of A Ship in Full Sail were later taken across Canada. The concept evolved from province to province, incorporating entertainment connected to each destination while keeping the original spirit of the event alive.

That meant bringing in artists such as Paul Brandt and Spirit of the West as the celebration travelled across the country.

From one large-scale sea-themed event to multiple versions across Canada, A Ship in Full Sail became much more than a one-night production. It was a concept flexible enough to travel, evolve, and bring a different entertainment lineup to each stop.
