Surprise 40th Birthday

Surprise 40th Birthday Party

the party of a lifetime

This was a birthday party like no other that took place in an historic Mount Royal Heritage Home in Calgary.

At the time of the party, the house was under construction, so we blended in with the construction team while planning and doing site visits to keep the secrecy!

When guests arrived they were greeted with living statues placed around the built-in pond (pictured above). Fun fact - the landscaping was not complete, so we added entertainment to fill in the space in a creative and interactive way.

Upon entering the home, party-goers experienced various cirque acts strategically placed throughout the home in ways that accommodated ceiling height and other requirements for their performances. Some even performed on a stages built on top of the pool and hot tub!

During dinner, guests were serenaded by The String Theory, a band that uses a land harp to create unique and beautiful music. The strings of the harp started on the stage and stretched across the home into the mezzanine, reaching above the guests heads as they enjoyed their dinner.

We fuzed together incredible heartfelt moments, like the guest of honour's young daughter singing a song with a professional band - a memory to last a lifetime.

The last musical performance was by Holly Cole, the birthday boy's favourite artist.

This was truly a party to remember that incorporated multiple entertainment acts throughout the evening.

WHAT MADE IT Amazing?

A platform stage was built over the pool for the cirque cube act.
